How Taken
Fioricet is a capsule tablet ingested through the patient’s mouth. Depending on the patients size, age, and recommended treatment, 1 to 2 tablets should be taken every 4 hours. Ingestion shouldn’t exceed a maximum total of 6 tablets within every 24 hours. With overuse and abuse of this drug, physical dependence may incur, therefore we do not condone extended and unnecessary use of Fioricet.
Warnings/Precautions
Fioricet may cause dizziness and make you fell drowsy. Driving an automobile or using any type of machinery (along with any other dangerous activities) is not recommended until you know what Fioricet and your body is capable of handling. If you suffer from serious depression, or have had a case of depression or drug use history in the past, it is recommeneded that you visit and ask your doctor about Fioricet before taking it. The elderly and those in weakened states need be cautious when taking Fioricet, especially for those with liver and kidney issues or for those with abdominal pains and troubles. If you become pregnant or plan to, ask your doctor what is best for you before following up treatment with Fioricet. Fioricet can create an impact on a developing embryo, as well as affect the chemical fluidity of breast milk. If you need Fioricet in order to maintain your overall well health, a doctor may suggest that you quit breastfeeding a child until your treatment with this medication is complete.
Missed Dose
If you happen to miss a Fioricet dosage every four hours, take it as soon as you remember. If, however, the next dosage time is closer upon you than the missed dose, skip the missed dose and continue on schedule with your next regular dose. Possible Side Effects
It is not known what side effects will incur in every person. Possible common side effects of Fioricet include but are not limited to: Chest pains, dizziness, woozy feelings, sleepiness, feeling slightly intoxicated, acute headaches, sedation, nauseous, short of breath, and vomiting/heaving. Less common but reported side effects of Fioricet may include but are not limited to: agitation, exgerated images and feeling of self-worth, heavy sweating, heavy urination, built-up sense of excitement, fainting, exhaustion, high body temperature, bowel movements, headaches, aching heart, heavy eyelids, excessive periods of high energy, hot and cold flashes, itchiness, leg pains, unknown confusions, muscle weariness, inability to feel certain body parts, fast heartbeat, ringing noise in ears, seizures, shaking, rashes or skin peeling, lethargic feeling, stuffed nose, tickling sensations.
Storage
Store Fioricet in an area where the medication will stay below 86° F (30° C), keep in sealed container and away from the reach of small children and those that the medication is not recommended for.
Overdose
As with any medication, taking more than the recommended dosage or mixing Fioricet with alcohol or any other brain system depressant, can and may lead to unconsciousness and even death. Those that overdose on Fioricet may be hit with heavy spells of drowsiness, confused/lost feeling, weakness, have hallucinations, inability to breath clearly, lack of clear speech, sense of direction is affected, blood mixed in vomit, and/or a slow heartbeat.
An overdose of Fioricet, or combining this medication with alcohol or other central nervous system depressant, may lead to unconsciousness or perhaps death. Fioricet overdose is indicated by severe drowsiness, confusion, extreme weakness, hallucination, shortness of breath, too slow or troubled breathing, slurred speech, lack of coordination, vomiting with blood, unusually slow heartbeat.

Those that have taken an MAOI (monoamine oxidase inhibitor) within the last 14 days should not consume Fioricet, as severe side effects could incur. When taken with other medications, such as antidepressants, alcohol, antihistamines, sedatives, pain relievers, anxiety medications, and muscle relaxants, severe side effects could possibly arise.
