Pharmaceutical Marketing Society Adopts New Charity Supporting Britain's Carers The Pharmaceutical Marketing Society is delighted to announce that it has adopted The Princess Royal Trust for Carers as its chosen charity for 2009 and 2010. Created in 1991 on the initiative of The Princess Royal, the national charity was set up to recognise and support those people in the community who find themselves at home caring for family members, friends or neighbours with disabilities, addictions or chronic illnesses.

A total of six patients have been implanted with DiabeCell® to date; five patients received the lowest dose of 5,000 islet equivalents (IEQ/kg), and one patient was dosed with 10,000 IEQ/kg.

As a result there are numerous references to community pharmacy in the newly published NHS Guidance on Planning for Disruption to Road Fuel Supply.
