Evaluation - NPA Provides The Means To Make The Case For Funding, UK
The NPA is developing a 'value for money in community pharmacy' project, incorporating the commissioning of an evaluation toolkit that will empower community pharmacists to make a case to the NHS for the commissioning or re-commissioning of pharmacy based services, based on an assessment of the cost-benefit of pharmacy services. PCTs are obliged to develop investment/disinvestment strategies based on evidence of effectiveness.

Progress Made On 2015 Initiative - American Society Of Health-System Pharmacists
Significant progress has been made toward achieving the medication-safety and medication-use technology goals of the ASHP Health-System Pharmacy 2015 Initiative.Specifically, major progress was made on objectives 4.1 through 4.4, which concern medication safety, and objectives 5.1 through 5.4, which deal with the adoption of medication-use technology.Slight or relatively no progress was made on other objectives.

Anesiva, Inc. (Nasdaq: ANSV) announced that the South Korea Food and Drug Administration has approved Anesiva's investigational new drug application for Adlea(TM), the company's long-acting, site specific, non-opioid drug candidate in Phase 3 clinical development for the management of acute pain following orthopedic surgery.
