Drugs (D:A:D) suggest a possible association between anti-retroviral therapy (ART) regimens that contain abacavir and an increased risk of myocardial infarction. Conversely, analyses of GlaxoSmithKline data show no increased risk of myocardial infarction associated with abacavir.
