The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (Nice) have been given final draft approval by a Government watchdog.
The drugs Arimidex (anastrozole), Femara (letrozole) and Aromasin (exemestane) reduce the risk of tumors spreading following surgery and could help thousands of women with early stage breast cancer.
Although there is still a chance of appeal, it is unlikely to be stopped at this point in the process.
The drugs will stop the natural production of the hormone, ostrogen - which is responsible for the growth and recurrence of several types of breast cancers.
In a 2004 study, researchers found that patients who switched from tamoxifen to Aromasin halfway through treatment reduced the risk of the disease returning by a third.
The Government has made clear that doctors should not wait for Nice guidance to complete all its stages before prescribing such drugs to women.
